Summer Fun Near Headwaters
The kids are out for summer, and it’s time to have some fun! Avoiding the chorus of “I’m bored” can sometimes feel difficult, but in Dripping Springs there’s so many things to do, the hardest part is deciding what to do first. To make things even easier, here are five ways to keep the kids busy, all located within a short drive of Headwaters.
- Austin Paintball
If you have more active kiddos, then a trip to Austin Paintball might be just what you’re looking for! With special low-impact options, kids as young as five can participate in the exhilarating sport. Or, choose the no-impact option and go on an adventure hunting bigfoot!
- Magic’s Theatre
Even as an adult, magic is, well, magical! Saturday nights at Magic’s Theatre are family-friendly, so bring the whole crew to enjoy an evening of wonder as you watch the magician perform seemingly impossible feats. Reservations are required, so make sure to book in advance.
- Austin Zoo
If you have an animal lover, then the Austin Zoo is a must-do. Lions, tigers, giant tortoises and reptiles are just a few of the critters you’ll see. They even have a feeding area where you can hand-feed goats, deer and llamas! A zoo with a cause, the Austin Zoo rescues and rehabilitates animals in need, so this is a zoo you can feel good about supporting.
- Almost Grown Play Café and Coffee Bar
At the Almost Grown Play Café and Coffee Bar, your littles can play to their heart’s content while strengthening their social skills. Meet up with friends for an afternoon playdate, and you can enjoy a cup of coffee and catch up with the other grown-ups without being interrupted.
- Headwaters’ Amenities
What’s even easier than doing something nearby? Staying at home! At Headwaters, there’s a plethora of award-winning amenities that will keep the kids busy and out of your hair. They can splash in the resort-style pool, play soccer on the playfield, explore the eight miles of trails or even participate in one of the many events put on by our Lifestyle Director.
