Freehold Completes Homestead Commons Amenity Center

Freehold Communities, developer of Homestead, a 522-acre master-planned community in Schertz, TX, just completed —and opened —the Homestead Commons Amenity Center. Situated on 4.1 acres, the center provides residents with a pool and pool deck, fitness building, splash pad and pavilion, among other features.The amenity center was put in place to help bring residents together. Additionally, “rather than a cookie-cutter approach to master planning, we immerse ourselves in the local market to create amenities and a community that best expresses their interests and wellbeing,” said Freehold’sMatt D. Matthews.
Many of the Homestead residents are members of the military, because of the development’s proximity to Randolph Air Force Base. Veterans, military families and those working in related services make up approximately 50% of the Homestead population. The development is at 5853 Homestead Pkwy.
