Freehold Communities, developer of Vital Communities nationwide, today announced Ryan Homes has been selected as the newest builder at Durham Farms, one of the fastest-growing master-planned communities in Tennessee.

Ryan Homes will present personalized, single-family detached residences set within a prime location in Durham Farms, the master plan just 18 miles from downtown Nashville in Hendersonville.

Construction is underway on the Ryan Homes neighborhoods and a grand opening and debut of model homes is anticipated for late April. All Ryan Homes buyers will be involved in the building of their residence from start to finish, choosing the elevation, specific home site and luxury interior features. The homes will feature flexible floor plans ranging from 2,239 to 2,859 square feet.

All the residences have been designed in craftsman architectural styles with up to six bedrooms and up to four baths. Feature options will include bonus spaces, home offices, play areas and first-floor bedrooms, while hardwood floors, oversized kitchen islands with quartz countertops and beautiful tile backsplashes will be standard. Prices are anticipated to begin in the low $400,000s.

“We are pleased to welcome Ryan Homes to our established builder team at Durham Farms,” said Suzanne Maddalon, VP of marketing for Freehold Communities. “Its thoughtful approach to creating personalized residences will only further Durham Farms’ success as the second-fastest growing community in Tennessee. We look forward to a successful partnership.”

In addition to the upcoming Ryan Homes neighborhoods, Durham Farms currently offers new-home collections from Goodall Homes, David Weekley Homes, Lennar Homes, Celebration Homes, Grandview Custom Homes, Crescent Homes and Drees Homes.

Durham Farms offers small-town Tennessee living, with front porches, quiet tree-lined streets and amenities designed to bring neighbors together. With 1,200 homes on 472 acres, the community is ideal for step-up families looking for a larger home in a community with extensive amenities for adults and children. Durham Farms is also an excellent choice for move-down empty nesters with free time to relax, exercise and pursue their passions. The neighborhood, amenities and homes reflect the Freehold Communities approach called “Vital Communities,” with an emphasis on healthy living, engagement, connectivity, stewardship and strong design.

Nothing captures the essence of Durham Farms better than the front porch. Durham Farms’ community plan states: “The front porch is a symbol of the small-town life many people yearn for, where residents never let a neighbor pass by without a smile and a wave. It’s the perfect place for a cup of coffee and some pleasant conversation. Front porch living is about connecting with people, building lifelong friendships and strengthening the bonds of family.”

At Durham Farms, a broad choice of amenities extend the concept of home beyond the front porch and back door:

  • Resort-style pool with a splash pad for kids
  • Playground
