Leander Schools Earn an A+
With a new Apple campus coming, the Domain rapidly expanding and the continued growth of communities in North Austin, there has never been a better time to make your home in the Liberty Hill area. Orchard Ridge residents will have access to top-performing Leander ISD schools, along with a brand new elementary school opening this year.
Glenn High School opened in August of 2016 with a new kind of design. Instead of closed-off wings for each grade level, classrooms are clustered around shared open spaces, where students can collaborate on assignments. This flexible space encourages interaction, and is much more similar to a college setting. Pair that with advanced classes and the opportunity to earn college credits, high school students will be better prepared for higher education.
Lovingly called “Coyote Country” thanks to their mascot, Wiley Middle School is a place for students to develop not only their knowledge and skills, but also their character. With a focus on inspiring young minds, this campus offers a full range of academic programs designed to help prepare students for college and beyond. Students are encouraged to find their passion and take part in extra-curricular activities, including a variety of sports, fine arts clubs and academic competitions.
This is a brand new school opening Fall 2019, just minutes from Orchard Ridge – within walking distance, in fact! Beyond convenience, this new school will offer the youngest students a head start, with pre-K classes available. Classes are designed to nurture young minds and help students grow to be well-rounded adults.
